| The hotel is located about 50 mins drive from Colombo and approximately 30 mins drive from the international airport. It is fascinating to watch the local fishermen bring in their catch in the early morning and sit sociably on the beach mending their nets in the late afternoon and evening. This is an excellent resort for watersports of all kinds, but offers plenty for those not wanting to get their hair wet. A stroll through the town leaves you very aware of the peaceful co-existenceof many differing peoples - the Tamil Hindus, Sinhala Buddhists and many Christians (Anglicans and Roman Catholics). A lively atmosphere, buzzing rather than noisy, reminds you of an idyllic family seaside of yesteryear. Restaurants abound, from a group of excellent Itallian Pizzerias, to modest local fare. |
